RMCGF & RMCIT RULES

2026 Qualification for Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals (RMCGF) at Portimão, Portugal

Tickets to the RMCGF will be awarded in Micro MAX, Mini MAX, Junior MAX, and Senior MAX categories as follows:

  • The overall champion of each respective National Rotax MAX Challenge class will qualify for an RMCGF ticket, subject to final approval by Rotax Karting Ireland.

  • Drivers must be citizens or permanent residents of either Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland.

  • Each driver may win only one RMCGF ticket per season, this will be the first ticket the driver wins in the racing season defined by the date of the final.

  • If a qualified driver cannot attend, declines the ticket, or fails to complete registration requirements, Rotax Karting Ireland reserves the right to nominate the next eligible driver.

  • Drivers involved in unresolved sporting, disciplinary, or civil disputes affecting eligibility may be refused entry, with qualification passing to the next eligible competitor.

An additional RMCGF DD2 ticket will be awarded in the Senior MAX category as follows:

  • The ticket will be awarded to the highest points scorer across the following Trophy events:
    ~Irish Open (O Plate at Watergrasshill
    ~Irish Grand Prix (Nutts Corner)
    ~All-Ireland (IRL Plate at Kiltorcan)

  • A driver’s best two final results from the three event finals will count (heats, pre-finals, RMC finals are not considered).

  • Points will be awarded using the standard championship points system.

  • In the event of a tie, championship regulations will apply

  • Drivers must be registered on INEO to be eligible.

 

2026 Qualification for Rotax MAX Challenge International Trophy (RMCIT) at Le Mans, France

Tickets to the RMCIT will be awarded in Micro MAX, Mini MAX, Junior MAX, and Senior MAX categories as follows:

  • Drivers must apply in advance, prior to January 30th 2026 to be considered for an RMCIT ticket.

  • Tickets will be awarded to the highest placed eligible driver in the relevant Motorsport Ireland Rotax MAX Challenge championship standings after Round 3, subject to final approval by Rotax Karting Ireland.

  • Drivers must be citizens or permanent residents of either Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland.

  • Each driver may win only one RMCIT ticket per season. Where a driver qualifies for multiple tickets, only the first ticket won during the racing season, determined by the date of the final event, will be awarded.

  • If a qualified driver cannot attend or fails to complete registration requirements, Rotax Karting Ireland reserves the right to nominate the next eligible driver.

  • Drivers involved in unresolved sporting, disciplinary, or civil disputes affecting eligibility may be refused entry, with qualification passing to the next eligible competitor.
